I walked out into the open air. No one seemed to notice me. Down to the signal, I walk down to the road. Here's one who is just bouncing to his own beat. Here's another, jogging in time. Early morning.

Make 'em ride,
make 'em roll.

Across the street, home free and bound for the other side of this place, they pass me every five feet. No one is listening to me. No one really even sees me. They've all got it on their hip.

Let your body rock and roll…

In coffee shops, at bagel stands, and in full-service restaurants, no one can let them go. Can anyone see them too? Can anyone hear them? Locked away, they blow by, I blow by. They're listening.

When everybody's got the music…

I can't take any of this anyway, I can't take any of this any path. I need a theme song, I need a theme, I need an argument, a path, a reason, I need to follow along…I'm finally at the other side of this place and I sit down, and…

…I take off mine. And I'm finally trapped.
