Fraternities and My Life…
I’ve been incredibly busy. So busy, it has been almost nine months since I last made a post. Have I been busy with idle pleasures, however? The answer, I am glad to report, is no.
In fact, among such activities as being a camp counselor (my summer) and picking up a second major at school (fall semester), I have also started a fraternity.
Some of my readers who know me well (and have not already heard) might react with surprise. “What?” they might say, “but Nick is a kind young boy with artistic flair and a kind demeanor! I would not expect him to be a part of a beer-guzzling, civil service-oriented, often stereotyped organization such as a fraternity!”
And yet, here I am. Not only am I a Founding Father, but I also hold an officer title, as the Admiral of Pins.
But who are we? I suggest you sit down first. We are Lambda Lambda Lambda. I can wait for you to recompose yourself, so go ahead and spend a few moments laughing. Yes, it is true, I am a part of the first and only chapter of a co-ed fraternity that shares its name with the fake fraternity featured in the popular film Revenge of the Nerds.
Recently we have appeared in a number of publications, in wonderfully mixed lights. We appeared on the front page of our school newspaper, the Daily Campus, in an article that quoted yours truly. Two days later, I found this letter to the editor in the paper. Apparently, we have begun to cause a stir in the community; I have been informed that the paper received a number of other similar letters.
A number of rush attendees have shown up in the past week because of all this publicity, but the most interesting result has been the further publicity we have received. Today, I discovered both a blog entry on a fraternity news blog and an e-mail in my inbox from a TV producer who wants to chat about “some potential opportunities.”

Site News - GoDaddy, web hosting, site format
Okay, so…I love my hosting server, GoDaddy, but if you did not originally get your package from them…what a pain! The problems I have are not really a problem intrinsically based in their service or hosting at all, just a terrible turn of events for me…. So the site is finally up, new entry and all, and I have made a couple visual changes for prettiness. Hope you enjoy!
