First Job & Clarification

I have my first real job in this streak of freelancing!

I will be designing lights and working some production bits for a short film called Boundaries of Attraction, written by Jamie Fessenden and produced by Dunkirk Studios in New Hampshire.  I'll be heading up there for August 2-10.  For me it's a professional gig with copy, credit, room, and board, as well as a small stipend.  Please note that I've reduced the goal of my ChipIn based on my pay.

I'm really excited about this one--it addresses some powerful themes about sexuality and relationships, and forces the viewer to blur the lines between preconceived categories.  I don't want to give too much away, but it's got a winning script and I'm happy to be working on it.

If you're looking for work on a film set, these guys are looking for a few PAs and set hands.  Let me know if you're interested and I'll see if I can't get you in touch with Jamie.

As for my ChipIn, I should clarify--I'm not asking my friends who are as poor as I am to give me tons of money!  I'd even be delighted and surprised if ANYONE contributed any amount at all.  For me, it's a metric on how much I've been able to work.  If I manage to make the amount contributed bar hit the goal bar (as I bring the goal lower with each gig), I will have had an extremely successful summer.  So, if you ARE as poor as me, just help me out with introductions, if you can make any.  If you're not, then both connections and contributions would be awesome, and taken as a great, great favor.  If you can't help at all, well call me anyway, I'm sure I miss hanging out with you, and I've got plenty of free time!

Living the dream...
